Dwindling Grades

One real thing that students hassle so much over would be grades. So far,the word 'student' is on your status, teenager or not, grades are still significant,at any academic institution.

I remember in high school, when I fell short of my usuals (68-75%). My grades were fine with me,' high school wasn't easy' ,I'd say. There was the socials, my girlfriends, the boys, and all. I was good. And a term came, and I dropped drastically, I was surprised and angry. My dad was vexed, my mom played intercessor, even while she was not pleased. Then I decided to cut off all my excesses, I had a curfew on my phone, social media accounts were deleted, hid my novels, and didn't hangout with friends,as much.

Next term came, with that resolve, I continued, and my grades picked up. CA's were proof, but I got bored right in the middle of the term. I was no nerd, just acting. It was a different me.
So I went to counsel with my mom and mentor, then I got the balance.

There is a time for everything, time to read, play, watch T.V,chores and all. When priorities are placed right and accordingly, there would be little or no problems.
Set a timetable, the hours in a day is sufficient enough for activities. School hours are mixed; time to learn, study, play and gist. Once school hours are over; rest, meals, chores, assignments and studying takes the better part of the day. Social medias,T.V ,hangouts would work during the weekends, except when important.

I got my priorities right, set my timetable, and school year ran as beautiful,my grades were good, without missing out on all the fun things of high school, but cutting them right to size. I was happy, everyone else was satisfied.

Note: The best ways are not always the easy ways, but with God,all things are possible.

  1. Chuckles, well, you've said those words well, it is really a fact that what you often engage with while you pass is not the thing that made you fail.
Kudos, you could balance your equation... Kudos Praise!
