Slacking Down On Adults

Time to cut adults some slack, and this is not just about parents... And also not just for teens also, you might be an adult that has another adult... Forgive the rant, and read further, it might just help.

So technically, I'm from a part of this world where you either listen to adult advice or you're doomed and will certainly make demonic mistakes.
So maybe younger adults ( teens and maybe everyone not qualifiedly an adult but is past 19) are just on a quest of not making them feel like they are always right.
You agree, right? Well even if you don't, actions speaker louder than words.... #shrugs

In my part of the world, there's a saying that "what an adult sees while sitting, a child wouldn't see even if he climbed a hill" (translated and paraphrased)

Well, looking from future perspective, its mostly true.

So while adults may be totally obsessed with being right and knowing what's best, therefore pulling their weight around which makes us pretty uncomfortable. You might want to hold up on your 'I'm right, and it's my life adventures' and examine things from their own point of view, and weigh on a moral scale, then work on the balance.

Quick personal example: I had to move to a new hostel that had a mattress, while I have a big one in my previous hostel that I get to sell, get extra cash, and buy extra things in my new room, and well right now, it seems like the perfect idea, yeah?
So I tell my parents, and they're totally against it, and I am hitting the roof, complaining and disagreeing on every basis.

I sort of had to wake up and smell the coffee; What if I had to make another move, where there's no mattress, or something comes up, or a sibling is in dire need of it...#shrugagain

They're not always right, and most times they just get us really uncomfortable, but you might want to remember that they're adults for a reason, and maybe, just maybe, they've been in those shoes and they're making you avoid the stone that hurt them on the path.

Remember: They're not always right, you might be, and like I said earlier, weigh them on your moral scale

P.S- Adults are taking over my life now; I'm almost on their side #sighs

Note: So the takeover of bitmojis was inspired by my blogger friend, who uses hers a lot, while the app lies fallow in my phone. I'd rather apply it sometimes... Sorry sweetie (Oreofe)

  1. LOL, love you too sweetie. We all have adults who we will very much wish to see things from our point of view.
