10 ways to make money as an undergraduate without being business savvy

Hello to you, welcome back to my blog site. A little bit of change in content today because I just felt this is important to talk about and its quite a worrisome topic for some undergraduates.

Well as you would know, if you've read any of my previous posts, I'm a student, and I think I've hinted on the fact that business is not my calling in any way possible.
A little bit of back story, when I got into the university, people older than me kept giving me advice on how they didn't rely on allowance and how they engaged in one business or the other, it seemed like the perfect thing to do for extra income, I can't say I was excited about the prospect, but I was excited about having plenty money.

I resumed, and I wanted to get familiar with school before business. Later on I began to think of what exactly I could do, what can I buy and sell, every idea kept bouncing off my back cos I wasn't interested and it felt like a total bore to me.
A lot of people are on my timeline, everyone is selling a thousand and one things and it feels like it should be the next line of action to actually get money. My brothers and sisters, if you're like me, don't go into it, its going to become really stressful, a total bore, and you'd almost finish your capital.
I went for counsel, and I was advised to render services and not try to buy and sell cos I'm not business savvy in any way, which I agree to, totally.

A list of services you can offer as an undergraduate without having to get too distracted from school;

1. Blogging: If you can write or compose a few sentences correctly and engaging enough then you
should get into the world of blogging. It's fun and at a particular point with consistence and a large amount of audience, you'd get that extra income you want.

2. Hairdressing: Its seems as though girls change their hairstyles a lot these days, and even when they don't, they make wigs, learn the basics of this and get jobs from your friends, with a lot of reference to you if you're good, you'd get that extra income you need.

3.Graphic Design: Not the multimillionaire job you  might want at the very beginning, but its a profitable start, and you can work at your convenience, and in no time, get as good as the millions you want, and your profit would skyrocket.

4. Tutoring: Seems somehow abi, but guy, tutoring actually helps and even more so in present times, students seem to be engrossed in their side hustle and tend to miss classes, when it's test or exam time, they need to be tutored, that's where you come in, since you don't work you have to go to class, get the knowledge and teach them, then you collect money from their own business... #winks

5. Sewing: Funny enough, you might not have to get a sewing machine for this, get friendly with someone around that has a sewing machine, learn basics of sewing and amending clothes, except you know how to sew properly, don't take huge sewing contracts like dinner dresses o, so that you don't become the subject of 'what I ordered versus what I got'

6. Web Design is the next big thing. You have to be skilled in this though, once you are, its quite industrious and profitable

7. Social Media Management: Don't just use your social media skills to get intimate on all the trending topics. You can manage other people's account, trust me not everyone wants to be constantly on social media, especially those that have business accounts, offer to manage their accounts, its profitable as well.

8. Virtual assistance: One effective way to build your CV, you could put in as a virtual assistant for people, probably not even close, so you can be in school, while being a virtual assistant for someone in Lagos.

9. MC/Comedian: There's always a gazillion shows on campus, and if you're that life of the party, classy yet interesting, you might want to get into hosting shows, and before you do that, take some basic courses that should help.

10. Event planning: Stressful, yet fun. If you think you can handle putting things together for a get-together, then why not make some money out of it.

To brag just a little, and be proud of myself 😛; I’m a 6 out of 10 😉

If you noticed, all of this things require a certain amount of skill. If you feel like you're not into business, and then you prefer not to learn a skill or soft skill, and you feel like book is the only way in this life, hmm brother, sister, you've got another thing coming. The career world ain't dealing kindly with people again o. Soft skills are very important in and out of the career world.

My daddy says that, an idea that you put to work is enough to kick start your billionaire empire, capital isn't the beginning and end of an empire. You have an idea, now elaborate on it, get a pattern, push it outside, and you'd get capital. Don't wait on the capital to come, you won't do anything, start, and capital would come. This is cliche, but its true, start where you are.

I hope my list helped, this is not all you can do, just a few,if none of this appeals to you? Get online, there are a lot of things that should get you working.

Please note o, after this list, nobody should ask me for money, I’m not giving, if it’s loan with 100% interest, you can ask me then 😉
