New 2020 Content and its other stories
I’ve been asking for content for this blog for 2020, and I’ve been a little scatterbrained about it. Thing is, I’ve got a lot of things I want to write about, but I needed direction.
I was looking through Pinterest for blog ideas, and while I saw interesting content, it just wasn’t what I intended to blog about and all, so I kept asking the best person to ask, and content, He gave.
While I was younger, I wanted to write and explain the Bible in simpler and relatable terms with the help of the Holy Spirit.
After reading Francine Rivers Lineage of Grace, and how she explained the Bible stories that I couldn’t relate with as much when I read from the Bible directly, it was a beautiful read, and helped me understand the women involved in Jesus’s lineage.
I’m going to be doing that now, and it’d be on this blog. ππ»ππ»
It wouldn’t be a Bible story o, it’d be a verse of any Book, any chapter, any verse.
At the beginning of the year, I got this Bible App, that sends in the verse of the day in texts and images which I post on social media everyday and it has blessed me tremendously.
So, I’m going to pick a verse that got to me, and as I’m given understanding, I’d blog about it and explain it in the simplest and most relatable way I can, of course relating it to our lives and all that happens in our age....
Amazing yeah? I’m pretty fascinated myself, and waiting for how this would all work out, I’m excited ππ»ππ»
I’m going to blog about other things as the year goes by, but that would be my major content for this year.
James 1:19, quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger
Well, well, as per everyone’s blood is hot in Nigeria, especially in Lagos, and people are looking for the next and best person to throw their anger and frustration upon, this verse is telling us how to avoid being that next person.
Sincerely, people can be very annoying, and my Yoruba people would say ‘amu ni se Olorun lawon eda’ (I feel like I murdered that spelling, you can correct me in the comment section) which means, people can push you to sinning against God, which is true.
You can just be minding your business and someone would come and feel like it’s their life’s mission to annoy you or cause you to do or say the wrong things, which would possibly hurt the person and hurt you as well.
It’s saying, be quick to listen, to hear all that you have to hear, but don’t respond immediately cos if you do, it’s likely to end in tears, and be slow to anger, to avoid an extreme reaction.
This year, make it an obligation to cool your blood, cos if it’s hot, you’d have killed someone before you then realize that your reaction was unnecessary and could have been handled in a better way.
Be careful not to hurt people’s feelings with your words or actions even if you feel like they might deserve it. Try to examine the situation from their point of view before reacting.
It’s really tough most times, and the person might actually deserve it, but for your peace of mind, sanity, clear conscience and right standing with God, be careful and be intentional about James 1:19
I hope this made as much sense to you, as it did while I was writing it, I’d appreciate your comments in the comment section, Tainz a bunch, and have a blessed week
It’s my birthday week by the way, I’m turning the big 21 on Thursday, someone has to keep
