Hey You, Do Better... I’m judging you

You know how we all want to buy Benz to show that our mothers prayer is working for us, yeah.... Well I’m happy to inform you that attending OAU or any other university as a matter of fact is not the only answer to those prayers.

Most students, especially OAU, UI, Unilag, Covenant University students  and some others in this category feel like once they go in for an interview and they mention the university they passed out from, that’s enough to land them the job. Guy, you’re joking 

The labor market isn’t smiling anymore, it’s either you’ve got brains to help their establishment move forward or you’re going to glory in the meager 33k the government is giving to corpers that you feel is the best thing that can happen to you.

I’m not about to motivate you to do something other than school, I’m here to judge you for not increasing your skill set. 

Not everyone wants to learn handcrafts, like me, I know a few, but I do not intend on starting a business with it cos I’m not interested. If you’re like me and you think certificate is enough for you while you glory in not being interested in hand skills, then you’ve got another thing coming for you.

Why exactly are you not making good use of the internet to take 

courses online to learn soft skills, career person or entrepreneur.

Do you know that institutions hire graduates based on their soft skills and ability like leadership, digital marketing, interpersonal communication and so much that you should go and search for after reading this. 

Do you know there are so many fellowships and Mentorship’s these days that would direct your path after school, and sometimes while in school. You’re pressing your phone every minute of your day and laughing at people’s status and memes, while judging celebrities lives online, I pity you, there’s so much that you can do as a student, if you think there’s no money, erase that mindset off, and do what you have

 to do by improving yourself.

Take online courses, there are free and paid ones, apply for fellowships online, go for conferences like Social media week, TED talks and the likes, some are free to attend, apply for internships, you don’t have to be paid, you’d learn more than the money they’d give you, ask questions from older people, and so much more.

Dream big, if anyone says it’s impossible, turn your back from that person and pursue self development.

Nigerian youths, we need to do better for ourselves, that uncle would most likely sly you, and your parent wouldn't glory in still feeding you in a  few years time.

There’s too much to be done, stop being unproductive

My name is Aregbesola Praise Abisola...... Now I want to brand the name AbisolaPraise........... What does it sound like to you, do I continue with  Pecan or go ahead with my name.
