BOOKS TO READ WHILE YOU'RE SELF ISOLATING
Hi you, welcome back to my blog, it’s not been a while, but thank
you for clicking back on my blog.
While we’re all self-isolating
at this point in time, you’re most likely bored already, and maybe borderline
jumping out of your skin. I’d say I can relate a little bit, but I’m not bored,
first of all, cos I’m almost an introvert, and if this was a school holiday,
this is exactly what I’d be doing, staying home, watching a movie, cooking and
eating, blogging or reading, its either one of these things, and ya, running
errands, so right now, I’m living my life.
Although, I do regret not taking advantage of going out when we
were free to go out, and once this is over, I’m most likely going to go out more
often, except the spirit of Praise reminds me of who I am, and sit at home, all
year long, God is good.
Anyways, I mentioned reading, which means that I read a lot, and
in this short post of mine, I’d be recommending books to read, if you want to. I’d
be mixing a list of novels, and inspirational books together, I mean why just
laugh or awwn from a fictional characters maybe love life, when you can also
learn valuable lessons and get deep words from a really serious book. I promise,
you won’t be bored, and you’d learn a thing or two from both categories of
books.
In no particular order of preference;
·
DANIELLE
STEELE BOOKS; see ehn, I cant even pick a particular one to recommend, or I’d
be cheating you. If you don’t know her, and you claim to read, biko, what have
you been reading? She’s one of my all time faves, and most of her books are not
romance inclined, they are real life happenings, and you’d most likely pick one
or two lessons from her.
·
THE
SECRET LIVES OF BABA SEGI’S WIVES BY LOLA SONEYIN: this book is an amazing
read, impacting and insightful.
·
THE
SUBTLE ART OF NOT GIVING A FUCK BY MARK MANSON: I’m not sure if I should laugh
about recommending this book, I’m going to read it again, so let’s read it
together.
·
THE
PILGRIMS PROGRESS BY JOHN BUNYAN: this book was read and narrated to me when I was
younger, which made plenty of sense to me to me then, I think I was 12/13, then
I read it again, and I think you should read it. It’s really long but insightful.
·
FRANCINE
RIVERS BOOKS: I’m a full-fledged Francine Rivers fan, and for all the best
reasons. If I’m to pick one book it’d be Redeeming Love, but to be fair, you
can get others.
·
THE
LAW OF CAUSE AND EFFECT BY MACPAUL IFEANYICHUKWU OKOLO; this book is a stand
out for me, and not because I know the author personally, but because every
point made in this book, hits home for me.
· KAREN KINGSBURY BOOKS; she’s a world wonder, she writes in series. You can decide to pick one out of a series to read, but I promise, you won’t be satisfied, it’s almost always a trilogy, get it all, and you shall pay money to my account.
·
BLACKASS
BY IGONI BARRETT: when I read this book, I decided that, if I ever meet Igoni, I’d
hug him. This book is a far cry from a normal made in Nigeria book. Funny enough,
all the places pointed out in this book, I can relate to every one of them, cos
he started from my local government in Lagos. This book is a beautiful read,
and you should read it.
I’d stop here, so that it doesn’t become unnecessarily long. Stick to
these, and you’d be fine throughout the isolation period, and you’re most
likely not going to finish them.
If you need help getting any of them, indicate which you want in
the comment section, and I’d get back to you.
I’m a member of a Read Club as well, if you’re interested, indicate
interest in the comment section, and I’d be at your service.
Don’t say I didn’t do anything for you in 2020 o, I’ve blessed
your life, now you can appreciate me by asking for my account number, God is
good, halleluyah.
Have an amazing day.
Cheers!!
